Summary:

The Facility Head has complete financial control of the facility and its operations along with the responsibility to manage all aspects of customer requirements including but not limited to: productivity, customer service inventory accuracy, shipping, receiving, P&L responsibility, rate requirements and development of incentive programs. This position is accountable to provide leadership, development of associates, all safety and human resource programs and metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Customer contract requirements are understood and utilized to meet business expectations

  • Be proactive and creative specific to improving & optimizing changes that enhance the Customer value proposition

  • Recognize/Develop opportunities for growth

  • Demonstrate consistent awareness of the business profile as it changes and understand respective ramifications

  • Maximize the performance of the site warehouse management system to ensure:

  • Care, custody and control of Customer inventory

  • Productivity and Space utilization (efficient product placement, etc.)

  • Accuracy

  • Proper utilization of systems

  • Manage a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for Associates

  • Ensure processes are documented in SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)

  • Ensure company policies are communicated, administered and enforced

  • Asset control responsibilities to ensure the Associates have required tools to achieve success against their goals

  • Maximize the performance of the site

  • Leadership, design & execution of action plans, projects and best practice sharing / implementation

  • Develop / Achieve agreed budget, revenue, profit (P&L) for site

  • Trend & Impact analysis that leads to execution of improvement action plans regarding service levels to ensure that performance metrics to meet Customer and Company requirements

  • Take an active role in site workload planning and volume forecasting (i.e. staffing, equipment, space)

  • Participate in the management, training, development of Supervisors/Managers as well as, hiring & retention of hourly and supervisory staff consistent with the site turnover objectives

  • Manage and insure timely associate performance reviews, development, succession planning, on-boarding and development of the Management Team

Qualifications:

  • College Degree Preferred

  • Minimum 7-10 years industry experience in a 3PL environment and company owned distribution center or warehouse facility.

  • Minimum 10 years supervisory or managerial experience.

  • Labor Relations Experience

  • Strong knowledge of handling drayage

  • Financial Acumen, ability to make effective decisions and experience managing projects and risk

  • Skills in planning, controlling, staffing, budgeting, organizing, and communicating are required.

  • At times may be required significantly extended shift hours based on business need

  • A hands-on management approach that encourages change and creative problem-solving

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment

  • Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels in support of customer relationships

  • A commitment to continuous improvement in an ever-changing industry

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and high integrity

  • Strong relationship-building skills

  • Ability to groom and grow others High level of computer skills, to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Excellent networking, relationship building/maintenance, and communication and presentation skills

Pay Range:

$125,000-$135,000*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
