Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Job Description:Under the supervision of the physical therapist, the physical therapist assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services and elements of patient/client management leading to optimal outcomes according to the Wisconsin and/or Minnesota Physical Therapy Standard of Practice. The PTA works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in the areas of education and consultation regarding patient care needs in accordance with the vision and mission of Gundersen Health System. The PTA may also coordinate and provide aquatic therapy services. Major Responsibilities:
Education and Learning: REQUIRED Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Work Experience: REQUIRED No experience required. Will consider new graduate DESIRED 1 year of experience in related field. License and Certifications: REQUIRED Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in state(s) of practice Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Age Specific Population Served: Pediatric (1 - 12 years) Adolescent (13 - 17 years) Adult (18 - 64 years) Geriatric (65 years & older) OSHA Category: Category I - All Employees in this job title have a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials. Environmental Conditions: Exposed to infectious diseases.
