Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Hybrid with our client in San Antonio, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for solution design, development, integration, and enhancements to meet the business needs and project requirements.
  • Also responsible for documenting and developing operational procedures and providing end-user support.
  • Support the Work Management (ARM) system to provide customers with safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas service.
  • Install, Configure, Test, and Implement ARM applications and apply the latest patches in Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments.
  • Support Utility Field Operations Applications, such as the Geographical Information System (GIS), Work Management Information System (WMIS), and Mobile Data System (MDS), to provide safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas service to customers.
  • Install, Configure, Test, and Implement GIS, WMIS, and MDS applications and apply the latest patches in Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments.
  • Design and develop enterprise applications for various business units to provide and maintain safe and reliable electric and gas service.
  • Develop functional and technical design documents based on business process flow.
  • With assistance from other team members, develop, test, and promote the code and configuration from the lower environments to Production.
  • Provide end-user application support for Electric and Gas Business Areas.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots application/system issues and provides resolution.
  • Work with the Infrastructure team on GIS, WMIS, and MDS server builds, OS patching, hardware tuning, and health monitoring.
  • Work with the Database Administrator to set up database backups, patches, refreshes, and schema changes.
  • Work with functional teams to integrate GIS, WMIS, and MDS applications with other enterprise applications (OMS and SAP)
  • Work with business areas to understand their requirements and complete the assigned tasks.
  • Assist other team members in operational activities.
  • Performs other project and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • On-call rotation is needed to support a 24/7 environment, and is also expected to be able to work outside business hours to support corporate needs.

Pay: $43.70 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week ; Hybrid

Length: Contract (12 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Energy/Utilities Field Operations Applications Support - Geographical Information System (GIS), Work Management (ARM) and Mobile Data System (MDS), application development, configuration management, system administration, hardware support, software support, maintenance, security, troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a programmer/analyst in developing and supporting enterprise solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in enterprise software installation, configuration, administration, and applying patches in Windows/UNIX environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing mobile or web applications.
  • Experience with ESRI's ArcGIS and Schneider Electric's ArcFM suite of products, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcFM Designer, ArcFM Mobile, ArcFM Web, and Utility Network.
  • Experience with CGI's ARM Work Management System.
  • Experience with ABB's Service Suite for Field Mobility Operations.
  • Experience in integrating with SAP/ERP.
  • Experience with Citrix, Windows and UNIX Shell scripting, Python, Oracle PL/SQL, ArcGIS SDE, ESRI Geometric, and Utility Networks.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other areas to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work in various locations, such as the field, construction centers, and the main office.
