Description

Sigma Defense is seeking a Technical Writer to design, test, implement, and document program protection measures for SW and HW capabilities integrated into weapon systems. The ideal candidate is experienced in Anti-tamper approaches; Program Protection Plans; weapon systems HW and SW systems design, detection, and testing and integration.

Requirements
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Program Protection Plans; Anti-Tamper HW and SW systems design, testing and integration:
      • Expert technical writing/updating program security plans.
      • CPI assessments/determination and Cybersecurity Risk Assessments (CSRA).
      • DoD Anti-Tamper policy directives.
      • Anti-Tamper approaches.
      • Anti-Tamper design milestones and their relationship to the acquisition cycle.
      • Models of security, including protection, detection, and response approaches.
      • Reverse engineering threats to hardware and software systems.
      • Specifying, designing, and evaluating AT technology.
      • In-depth knowledge of program protection plans.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field of study.
  • Anti-Tamper Systems Engineering Course (ATSEC) is preferred.

Essential Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):

  • Develop and update mission criticality analyses, vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, identification, and countermeasure implementations for Mission Critical Functions in accordance with MIL-STD-882 and identify system components associated with highly critical functions.
  • Develop an Attack and Countermeasures Tree for Critical Program Information or Critical Technology.
  • Develop and implement Anti-Tamper (AT) hardware and/or software protection measures and countermeasures, selected by the Government, to protect against unauthorized disclosure of "SYSTEM" Critical Program Information (CPI) and Critical Technology (CT) as defined by DODI 5200.39, or as indicated in the DODI S-5230.28.
  • Protect CPI/CT utilizing AT measures that meet the required AT Protection Level defined by the Government.
  • Support Anti-Tamper Verification and Validation (V&V) event(s).

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
