Here is how the Midstream - Facility Engineering Intern role will impact our business:

As a Midstream - Facility Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for supporting a team of Project Managers, Design Engineers, & Construction Managers analyze, estimate, plan, design, procure, & construct natural gas facility projects within EQT's operating area of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, & Ohio.

The Intern responsibilities include but arenot limited to:



  • Assist the Facility Development team through:

    • Maintaining project budgets and schedules from project kickoff through project closeout
    • Design & analysis of measurement, liquids handling, dehydration, & compression assets
    • Equipment & Material Procurement
    • Monitoring & controlling construction progress activities such as excavating, foundation placement, equipment setting, welding, coating, torquing, conduit installation, wire pulling, terminations, & testing.
    • Shadowing experienced professionals in various roles, learning about the lifecycle of gas facility development and operations.




Required Experience and Skills:



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Completion of coursework related to thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or process engineering is preferred.
  • Strong interest in energy and natural gas facilities.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and industrial equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CAD software is a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and industrial construction environments.



Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
