The University of Virginia Facilities Management (FM) department is currently seeking Recycling Workers to support Facilities Management's sustainability goals of providing a state-of-the-art recycling program for the University. Occasional weekend work required to support University events. FM supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, FM is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair and maintenance of UVA's buildings, infrastructure and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties. Recycling Workers perform an exceptional level of recycling service through the processing of recyclable, recoverable, and/or reusable materials while providing the highest level of customer service to all students, faculty, and staff. Duties Include:

The selected candidate will be required to complete all necessary background checks, including a health screen, prior to the start date of the position. Physical Demands: The employee will be exposed to varying temperatures and chemical hazards from diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid leakage, paints and batteries which are processed through recycling.
