The Opportunity The School of Performing Arts at the University of Central Florida, Department of Theatre, seeks a 9-month, tenure-earning assistant professor of voice and speech.We seek a specialist in voice and speech, with experience in one or more voice techniques, who can also serve as voice coach for departmental productions. The ideal candidate will teach voice fundamentals, IPA, dialects and also graduate voice studio. Anticipated start date is August 8, 2025. The Department of Theatre, within the School of Performing Arts, offers BFA degrees in Acting, Musical Theatre, Stage Management, and Design and Technology, as well as a B.A. in Theatre Studies. Graduate programs include MFA in Acting, M.A. in Musical Theatre, M.A. in Theatre Studies, MFA in Themed Experience, and MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences. Minimum Qualifications: Terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., MFA) in theatre or a related discipline from an accredited institution and at least two years of professional experience or a nonterminal degree (e.g., M.A.) in theatre or a related discipline from an accredited institution and at least five years of professional experience.
