Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Performs classification, feature extraction, mapping from LiDAR point cloud, manual edits, creates and runs filtering macros.
  • Seek professional development opportunities to expand knowledge in the industry.
  • Research previous maps and other records to obtain data needed for the project.
  • Analyzes data and prepares reports and maps.
  • Ability to understand aerial data with precision and accuracy.
  • Complies with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.



Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Applied Geography, GIS, or equivalent required.



Required & Preferred Experience:



  • 3 years' experience in LiDAR production, and base and CAD mapping required.
  • Requires experience with MicroStation and TerraSolid.
  • Candidates who are motivated to learn and develop their career path and are self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit are preferred.
  • The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team is required.
  • Requires strong problem-solving, functional, and technical skills.
  • Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives.
  • The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying project demands is required.
  • Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed.
  • Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
