Description & Requirements
The Managed Care Contracting team assists provider clients (health systems, physician practices, accountable care organizations and more) in the planning and execution of their critical managed care functions. These functions range from contract negotiation and modeling to rate benchmarking and strategic planning. A Consultant on our team will gain exposure to each of these functions across a portfolio of clients. How you will contribute:
- Build and/or utilize existing financial models to evaluate multiple reimbursement scenarios for various provider types including but not limited to hospitals, provider groups, and ancillary providers
- Aggregate and consolidate large data sets to identify trends and extract meaningful insights
- Attend routine client interfaces, keep minutes, and identify follow-up items for discussion with the internal project team
- Support negotiations of assigned contracts on behalf of clients, to include payor outreach, language review and redlines, and summarizing negotiated rates and terms
- Provide weekly internal updates to management team about ongoing client engagements
- Support preparation of client deliverables, to include report writing and formatting
- Conduct and present market research briefs to educate internal project team and support external client deliverables

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Policy or another related field
- 1+ year (s) of relevant work experience in the healthcare industry, specifically experience in data analytics and an understanding of healthcare reimbursement
- Experience in Excel, Access and/or other analytics platforms
- Demonstrated general understanding of the healthcare industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, MHA, MPH, or MPA
- Client service experience with demonstrated ability to deliver on expectations around project activities, timelines, etc.
