| Apply Description Civil Engineer/Project Manager Role Description: Huitt-Zollars, Inc, has full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager for our Phoenix office with at least 8 years' experience and will be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona. This full-time role requires a talented, creative, and connected person who can manage projects from start to finish and help grow the Public Works initiative. This position will work in close collaboration with the Public Works Vice President to continue to expand our public works and infrastructure group, manage projects and civil engineers, and develop new opportunities. Duties include but are not limited to initial project research, plan production and management of plan production staff and plan processing.   Function as a Lead Civil EngineerPrepare preliminary engineering reportsResearch jurisdictional requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawingsPrepare of proposal/contract and of project work plans and scheduleUse of design software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HEC-RAS and FLO-2DPrepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and information obtained from research activitiesCoordinate client management and marketing efforts for future workPrepare GIS exhibits using ArcGISConduct site visits and documents findingsWork directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertiseAttend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondenceWrites or prepares graphic materials for presentations or documentsLead a team of engineers and drafters Key Responsibilities: 
  Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Ensures proper staff is assigned and utilized on their projects.Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget. Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects.Cultivates relationships with clients and holds strong relationships with clients.Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process including weekly rhythm.Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additional opportunities with existing clients and may be responsible for a stated portion of office sales goal.   BS Degree in Civil EngineeringMust be a licensed PE in Arizona with a minimum of 8 years of experienceUnderstand successful proposal writing (SOQ/RFP) and budget management for public contractsAbility to market, communicate, and develop relationships with existing and new public agency clientsExperience with public roadway engineering (rehabilitation/widening/construction), water & sewer improvements, and storm drain improvementsExpertise in the field of hydrology and hydraulics including the development of floodplain delineations and LOMRsHighly organized and detail orientedConsistently deliver proactive communication with clients.
