LSSI is hiring a full-time Youth Stabilization Specialist.Responsible for providing mentoring, crisis intervention and counseling services to youth and their families to promote placement stabilization, while following LSSI policy.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients and their families.
  • Provide after-hours crisis intervention services through participation in the assigned on-call rotation.
  • Carry caseload of clients providing individual, family, and group counseling, case management, and other support services.
  • Provide on-gong assessment and treatment planning for youth on caseloads and linkage of clients to needed services.
  • Complete and submit all necessary reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Comply with all requirements involving record keeping and/or billing.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required.
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required.
  • One (1) year of experience working with youth preferred.
  • Experience with counseling, including crisis intervention, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to others and influence people.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
