Education Requirement: Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from an accredited seminary or graduate school, or equivalent. Completion of four units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education. Licensure Requirement: (not specified) Certifications: Ordination, or faith group equivalent, and endorsement as a Chaplain by one of the official Ecclesiastical Endorsing Organizations of the Department of Veterans Affairs or ability to obtain within one year of hire. Board certified or board certified eligible in the Association of Professional Chaplains, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains. Must obtain within three years of hire and maintain throughout employment. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to respond appropriately to situations with complex emotional and relational dynamics. Experience: Two years of experience in pastoral care in a diverse setting, required. Physical Requirements: OCCASIONALLY: Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Loud Noises, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Working Outdoors FREQUENTLY: Computer skills, Flexing/extending of neck, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Interpreting Data, Repetitive hand/arm use, Sitting CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Decision Making, Hearing acuity, Peripheral vision, Problem solving, Seeing - Far/near, Standing, Walking Additional Physical Requirements performed but not listed above: Can be an emotionally demanding environment. Able to perform effectively during stressful situations. Requires focus and attention to detail while multi-tasking.
