Are you passionate about shaping the future of education and driving student success? WGU's School of Business is seeking a dynamic Lead Academic Program Manager (LAPM) to take charge of our innovative programs in Marketing from inception to completion. As the end-to-end program owner, you will play a pivotal role in defining program goals, researching market and student needs, developing curricula in collaboration with program directors and subject matter experts, and continuously enhancing program relevance, quality, and student success.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead through influence, coordinating with teams across WGU's shared services.
  • Managing Ambiguity: Comfortably deal with the uncertainty of change, handle risk effectively, and remain calm and productive even when things are up in the air.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving: Thrive in dynamic environments, addressing challenges and driving program outcomes by adapting strategies as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Student-Centered Approach: Demonstrate a deep understanding of student learning needs and craft innovative curriculum and support strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Cultivate a culture of continuous experimentation, learning, and data-informed improvements.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Guide and build effective teams across a matrixed organization, engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Marketing or a related area from an accredited institution.
  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience with a strong background in program planning, operations, and student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in a relevant field.
  • Experience in higher education or online program development, particularly in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Position & Application Details

Full-Time Regular Positions (classified as regular and working 40 standard weekly hours): This is a full-time, regular position (classified for 40 standard weekly hours) that is eligible for bonuses; medical, dental, vision, telehealth and mental healthcare; health savings account and flexible spending account; basic and voluntary life insurance; disability coverage; accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity supplemental coverages; legal and identity theft coverage; retirement savings plan; wellbeing program; discounted WGU tuition; and flexible paid time off for rest and relaxation with no need for accrual, flexible paid sick time with no need for accrual, 11 paid holidays, and other paid leaves, including up to 12 weeks of parental leave.
