We are seeking a passionate and experienced Adult Hospitalist Physician to enhance our team. Key responsibilities

• Accept and coordinate care for internal medicine patient referrals.
• Manage admissions, case management, and discharge planning.
• Provide medical consultations for surgical, sub-specialties, and emergency department requests.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage, ensuring timely responses to emergent and routine requests.
• Engage in hospital quality improvement activities and clinical effectiveness projects.
• Collaborate with Clinical Resource Coordinators and Discharge Planners for effective patient care.
• Maintain excellent relationships with hospital staff and resolve patient and provider concerns.
• Ensure complete and accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
• Adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies, and third-party payor requirements.

Background/Expertise

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• 1 to 3 years as a board-certified Adult Hospitalist Physician
• Experience with at least 60 hospital patients, including ED evaluations/admits, in the previous 2 years
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon
• Current DEA certification
• Knowledge of Lean methodology is a plus
