We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director, HQ Accounting to oversee and manage the financial operations of our headquarters. The Director, HQ Accounting will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead and manage the headquarters accounting team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and implement effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants.
  • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives, such as system implementations and process improvements.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven experience managing complex financial operations and driving process improvements.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
