Experience with the following tools: dscout, [UserTesting.com](https://usertesting.com/)*, Qualtrics, Excel, Lucid, etc.* *Description:* This person will initially serve in supporting various CX related projects where they will generate research and insights for a variety of web, mobile, dealership and vehicle experiences. They will need to be very comfortable with fielding research for multiples studies at one time and must be able to work in a very fast paced environment. Our growing User Experience team is seeking passionate and talented User Experience Researchers to support the creation of customer-facing User Interfaces across multiple brands and digital platforms. Our work touches millions of lives across In-Vehicle, Web, Mobile and Wearable interfaces. As a User Experience Researcher, you will collaborate with designers, technologists, and business stakeholders to craft meaningful experiences for our customers through thoughtful, data-informed design. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in design research methods, an understanding of and commitment to user-centered design, and have experience planning, facilitating, analyzing, and reporting research for digital products. *Description* User Experience Researchers will support multi-disciplinary teams focused on translating human needs into viable product concepts using iterative, human-centered design. Research work will impact the development of our Design System and cohesive cross-channel experiences for mobile, web, wearable and cross channel mobility solutions. *Responsibilities* *Collaborate with teammates to plan and facilitate user and stakeholder research that will guide the design of world-class user experiences across all products and platforms for vehicle features *Analyze research findings to inform problem statements, guide design strategy, and define requirements *Facilitate workshops and collaborative activities with the team, stakeholders, and users *Apply statistical skills for analyzing data collected *Provide inspiring reports and feedback on the implications to user experience and how improvements to the design and functionality of the system can be made *Create proposals on design direction supported by written and verbal presentations demonstrating ability to appropriately use both quantitative and qualitative data *Provide tactical and targeted design recommendations and next steps based on data *Advocate for accessibility in our designs where appropriate and/or required *Contribute to the continued evolution of the team's workflows and processes to further improve quality and performance *Required Qualifications* *Proficient in multiple user research methodologies (heuristic evaluation and expert reviews; usability testing; contextual inquiry; surveys; card sorting and information architecture; focus groups; competitive evaluation) *Experience with design thinking, contextual research, ethnographies and natural observation. *Proficient in all aspects of usability testing (i.e., recruiting, methodology and metrics development, analysis, reporting results) *Keen ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives through use of user research methods *Familiarity with basic visual and interactive design principles and practices *Portfolio with work samples showcasing expertise in user research *Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills *Ability to work collaboratively *Preferred Qualifications* *Understanding of technology and the product development lifecycle *Automotive experience a plus but not required *Knowledge of design thinking methods *Familiarity with common design tools like Axure, Illustrator, Sketch, and Photoshop *Prototyping experience (software and/or hardware development experience a plus) *Education and Experience* *Bachelor's Degree in HCI, Human Factors, Product Design, Psychology or related. Master's Degree preferred. *Skills:* ux design, Human-computer interaction, Usability, User experience research, Ux research, User research, Usability testing, Qualitative research, Quantitative research *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * Be willing to work in our Warren tech center offices a minimum of three days a week - typically Tuesday through Thursday * Be willing to work in person more frequently when studies require * Be willing to work "in field" outside of our Warrant tech center facility when studies require * Be willing and able to work in a fast paced organization without compromising the quality of their work * Be willing and able to manage multiple research studies at a time - upwards of 4-5 * Have strong stakeholder management skills - confidence, strong relationship building skills, etc. *Experience Level:* Expert Level o Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
