The Assistant Director - Contracts leads all aspects of Sourcing and Contracting spend categories for 392 facilities including the leadership and development of associated Contract Staff. Responsible for over $100,000,000 in annual RFP management. Including: Data analytics, RFP process management, CEO and Physician conversation as appropriate and strategic negotiations with suppliers. Oversees and manages 20+ RFP's at a time. Leads the prudent sourcing of commodities, equipment, and services, including but not limited to investigating alternatives, reviewing cost effectiveness, and soliciting bids. Provides direction to staff and leads the development and implementation of sourcing opportunities across all UHS divisions including: Acute Care, Behavioral Health, and Independent Physician Management divisions and corporate. Leads supplier management and contract compliance programs. Assists with the development of annual sourcing calendar to guide staff regarding priorities and to drive expense reduction. Manages the contract review process to validate the appropriate terms, conditions, pricing, vendors, and approvals. Leads development of policies and procedures for corporate and local staff.
