Radiant Power is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Sales and Business Development team.

This position is located in Sarasota, FL and is full-time, Monday - Thursday. This is not a work from home position.

Radiant Power Corp. delivers the highest levels of quality and reliability from our full range of aerospace products. We provide a wide variety of emergency power supplies, power distribution and control sub-systems, flight deck sensors and instruments, a full suite of passenger comfort/cabin products, AeroELT Emergency Locator Transmitters and our Dukane-Seacom Underwater Locator Beacons.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

The Customer Service Representative will:



  • Work cooperatively with other team members to develop and manage existing customer base, creating customer relationships, and actively participate in new account development.
  • Interface with customers providing consistently excellent customer service by responding to all incoming customer inquiries regarding sales order expedites and requests for pricing and product availability through the quoting process in a timely manner
  • Contact vendors and/or suppliers for updated costing and lead time to facilitate the quoting process
  • Process quotes in our ERP system in accordance with procedure and policy
  • Review and manage open sales orders interacting with accounting, quality and the warehouse to insure timely release and on time delivery of customer shipments
  • Expedite purchase orders with suppliers and vendors for parts relating to sales orders communicating order status updates to the customers
  • Responding to customer requests for quotes on special order items acting as a liaison between customer and new business development group
  • Manage quote to order process through tracking and following up on open quotes
  • Perform "Gap Analysis" on existing accounts to identify opportunities to increase sales and presenting those opportunities to the customer and secure the sale
  • Setup and maintain customer accounts updating system notes to insure customer requirements are met
  • Resolve customer problems in a timely manner
  • Coordinate customer requests for returns and credits



Job Requirements:





    • Associates degree preferred; 1-2 years related experience and/or training
    • 1-2 years of prior sales administrative support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Prior technical product sales experience.
    • Familiarity with aerospace distribution, MRO, and aftermarket support sales models.
    • Strong relationship and customer development skills.
    • Ability to identify customer needs and create a solution within company capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • High energy level, comfortable with multi-tasking.
    • Must be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment.
    • MS Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, Access, and MSWord.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Read/Write Fluently in English
    • Sustained dependable attendance.
    • Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.
    • Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.



    PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:




    • Position located in an office environment, with exposure to the manufacturing floor when needed.
    • Domestic business related travel, valid driver's license required.
    • Regularly required to walk up and down stairs.
    • Regularly required walk and reach with hands and arms.
    • Regularly required to talk or hear.
    • Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
    • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
    • Noise level is usually moderate.
