Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
The Graduate Assistant in the Office of the Registrar reports to the Associate Registrar. Performs various student records processing and maintaining student records while providing customer service to students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Process student academic record change requests, registration forms, and other standards forms
-Troubleshoot and resolve student registration issues, student records questions, and course schedule inquiries
-Comply with FERPA/ ADA and other applicable laws pertaining to academic records
-Process and monitor transcript orders internally and through Parchment
-Assist in other duties as needed including answering phones, general email accounts, support tickets, and walk-ins
-Assist with graduation and commencement related activities including assistance at each commencement ceremony
-Provide general support in the conversion to a new ERP system as need determines
-Assist in special projects and/or activities
-Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, Must be currently enrolled, and maintain satisfactory progress in a graduate program at Lewis University; experience effectively providing customer service required; verifiable organization and time management skills; documented administrative office experience including electronic and database management (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access); and proven track record of handling large volumes of information accurately in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must also have a commitment to Catholic higher education and to the University's Lasallian Mission.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a Registrar's Office/higher education work experience and prior experience working with sensitive information.

Work hours
Part time; minimum of 20 hours per week; year-round
