JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking candidates for a Sr. Associate Athletic Director, Capital Projects and Facility Development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) capital projects, including space planning, facility master planning, renovation strategy and capital project oversight.

  • Serve as primary ICA project manager, overseeing all facilities development projects (capital and minor projects) including research and benchmarking, new construction, renovations and enhancements.

  • Lead the Athletics Facilities Master Planning process in the development of a framework to guide the future of Athletics' facilities, within a larger ICA multi-year strategic effort.

  • Provide project management oversight of current ICA capital projects, including Beaver Stadium, Greenberg Indoor Sports Complex, Soccer Operations Building, Indoor Practice Structure and Medlar Field.

  • Actively work with all appropriate entities to ensure that the interests of Athletics concerning capital projects for athletics are appropriately represented and protected, including Penn State Office of Physical Plant (OPP), architects, engineers, contractors, permitting offices, and ICA facilities and events staff.

  • Provide regular project updates to department leadership for both capital project budget, scope and timelines and the annual management of ICA major maintenance budget and project lists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is preferred.

  • 8+ years relevant experience is necessary.

  • 5+ years project management experience in NCAA Division I intercollegiate Athletics or equivalent is necessary.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required. Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

    The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

    $109,300.00 - $164,000.00
