JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Division of Enrollment Management is seeking an Enrollment Services Specialist to provide exemplary customer service to Penn State students, families, alum/alumna, and prospective students in the areas of Admissions, Registrar, and Student Aid. This individual will be cross trained in the aforementioned areas and maintain a strong working knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures. The Enrollment Services Specialist assists and guides prospective and current students through all phases of the student lifecycle, from application through graduation via phone, counter, and digital interactions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide high level customer service in response to complex student and parent inquiries via phone, email, in-person, and virtual interactions in the areas of Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid.

  • Participate in professional development, outreach efforts, and other projects related to continuous improvement to enhance office efficiency and services

  • Provide guidance and appropriate referrals to secondary areas such as specific programs and offices at University Park, as well as appropriate contacts at commonwealth campuses.

  • Partner with home offices and supervisors to resolve escalated and more complex inquiries, leveraging technology to bring matters to a resolution in an efficient manner.

This position is hybrid and is based at the Penn State University Park campus.

Education and experience:

Minimally requires an associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$42,100.00 - $61,000.00

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
