We're looking for a Director of Business Development for Data Center Construction to join our Day & Zimmermann team. This position offers the ability to work from home / remote.


The Director of Business Development for Data Center Construction will be a key member of our team, responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the data center sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development within the data center industry, with a deep understanding of the construction needs, challenges, and opportunities specific to these high-demand facilities. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Drive and execute the business development strategy for data center construction projects, focusing on building strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the data center construction sector, from early-stage project identification to closing contracts.
  • Develop long-term, trusted relationships with major data center owners, operators, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the negotiation, proposal, and contract processes to ensure the company's position in the competitive data center market is strong and growing.
  • Stay ahead of trends and innovations in the data center industry, leveraging market knowledge to provide insights and solutions to clients.
  • Work closely with internal teams including engineering, project management, and construction to ensure alignment with business goals and client expectations.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the company in the data center construction market, promoting the company's capabilities and successes.

What You Need To Bring To The Table:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales or business development role focused exclusively on data center construction or related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong network within the data center construction community and the ability to leverage relationships to drive business success.


In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $127,000 - $191,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
