We are looking for a Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to support our team by driving value to the organization through developing efficient process and procedures, identifying waste and managing projects. As a Trex Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager you will be responsible for establishing sourcing strategies, negotiating total cost of contracted materials, products, and services, executing supply agreements and other contracts, resolving product or service supply issues, and identifying/delivering of cost improvement projects. This role is key member of our Supply Chain team and is expected to develop strategic business relationships with external suppliers and internal business leaders, lead contract negotiations, drive cost savings initiatives, implement strategic sourcing best practices and support the procure to pay process.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop, lead and execute sourcing strategies for assigned areas of spend. Drive cost reduction initiatives through robust data analysis. Negotiate cost savings opportunities and ensure appropriate stakeholder involvement and contracting is engaged.
  • Lead supplier identification, supplier development, and new program implementation efforts. Develop, issue and analyze comprehensive Request for Proposals (RFPs) for assigned areas and recommend best value for Trex.
  • Identify and execute plan to improve supplier base leveraging data and sourcing strategies for assigned areas of spend.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation and contracting skills while building strong supplier relationships that minimize total cost of ownership to the company.
  • Develop and execute a plan to ensure consistent application of sourcing processes and validate compliance. Track, measure and report results.
  • Provide leadership to increase procurement value to projects by driving efficiencies in the acquisition of materials, services and CAPEX.
  • Develops and maintains Trex company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Establish and ensure utilization of best practices across procurement activities.
  • Establish the process to maintain vendor classifications, spend classifications, sourcing data.
  • Report monthly on spend analysis, PPV reporting, and cost savings initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance, including supplier scorecards and report monthly results.
  • Provide day-to-day project management of category activities.


Direct Reports: 4 sourcing professionals, two indirect site buyers.

EXPERIENCE

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 4-8 years of relevant supply chain, sourcing and procurement experience required.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement negotiations, contracting, principles, procedures and best practices.
  • Effective communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to build high performing, engaged teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP and other business intelligence software.
  • Must be 18 years or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred:



  • MBA preferred, Institute of Supply Management certification a plus.



BASE SALARY RANGE: $100,000-$130,000 annually

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual and/or sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
