Technology Portfolio Delivery Lead

What We Need:
We are looking for a proactive Technology Portfolio Delivery Lead to oversee strategic planning and agile execution of digital products. This role merges strategic program management with hands-on agile leadership to support digital transformation. The ideal candidate will align business objectives with technical implementation, ensuring smooth product rollouts while fostering an agile mindset. Experience with financial or compliance-focused digital projects is beneficial but not required. This position reports to the Director of Digital Product Management and requires in-office attendance three days a week in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Manage the full delivery roadmap for digital products and compliance-related updates.

  • Lead program planning while facilitating agile ceremonies and sprint execution.

  • Promote agile methodologies and mentor teams in best practices while maintaining governance at the program level.

  • Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to track delivery efficiency and team performance.

Product Deployment & Compliance Integration

  • Oversee the rollout of digital products by integrating business requirements, technical solutions, and regulatory compliance.

  • Work with compliance teams to convert regulations into actionable technical specifications.

  • Facilitate sprint planning and backlog refinement, ensuring clarity in acceptance criteria and definitions of done.

  • Drive ongoing improvements through retrospectives and process enhancements.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships across product, engineering, compliance, and business teams.

  • Identify and resolve obstacles through effective collaboration and cross-functional alignment.

  • Lead daily stand-ups and provide clear communication on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and agile excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline; Master's degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in program management and agile delivery leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of both traditional project management and agile methodologies.

  • Experience in financial services technology delivery is a plus.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Technical Skills

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required.

  • PMP certification is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD processes.

  • Experience with digital product deployments and system integrations.

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

  • Proven track record in coaching teams and driving organizational change.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience managing complex technical projects in regulated industries.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
