The Licensed Mental Health Therapist is engaging and quickly builds rapport with clients who are seeking services while providing psychosocial evaluations including diagnosis and referrals. This role will provide evaluation services at least part time (within the full time role) with potential for the remainder of the role providing ongoing therapeutic treatment. SIGN ON BONUS FOR FULL-TIME POSITIONS Responsibilities Evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment: As part of the intake team the therapist will evaluate the client's need for treatment by assessing consumer's strengths, needs, and mental health status. Assess and determine DSM 5/ICD 10 mental health diagnosis when appropriate, at evaluation and throughout the course of treatment. If providing ongoing treatment, develops a collaborative treatment plan with each client served to guide treatment and celebrate progress towards change. If providing ongoing treatment, provides evidence based treatment interventions through individual, group, family, or couple's mental health therapy with goal of reducing symptoms to achieve higher quality of life as defined by the person served. Maintains highest levels of ethical conduct within professional licensure guidelines Qualifications Education: Master Degree required. Preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy with a clinical/mental health concentration from an accredited school. Experience: Applicants should have completed practicum experiences as part of their accredited program. One year of experience working with a site's clientele in addition to practicum is preferred. This may be completed at the bachelor level. License(s)/Certification(s): Iowa: LMSW, tLMFT, tLMHC; Illinois: LPC or the LMSW (temporary licensure is not a requirement if applicant meets QMHP criteria); Wisconsin: CAPSW, LPC-IT, MFT-IT May be required to obtain BLS within six months of hire for certain sites. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Ability to professionally relate to a wide variety of consumers, as well as a desire to serve as a consumer advocate.
