Job Description:

The position will contribute to the success of Global Partners by supporting the retail construction design process. This individual is responsible for developing and managing the drawing library of standards and details related to Brand Architecture, coordinating with Architects and Engineers for a cohesive interior design. They will ensure the final design meets the expectations set at concept approval focused on the customer experience and journey.

This role is a balance of office and field, this individual will own, lead and closely review the Construction and Design plan to identify errors and omissions within the plans ultimately ensuring all projects are built to meet Brand Architecture expectations and on budget by reducing/eliminating change orders. They will also update all architectural documentation as core design evolves.

  • Retail Construction and Design Project Manager: Feet on the Street in Field during all large-scale Construction Projects ensuring we are creating a Customer First Experience as we bring our design to life.
  • Lead, develop and maintain standards and procedures for all details/drawings, as well as file sharing and project management software - coordinating all internal and external Retail Design Architect Firm(s) and building a strong connection with GC's and Trades.
  • Lead collaboration with the Retail Operations team, Construction, Real Estate and Marketing departments in developing value engineered details/drawings while maintaining design and Brand Architecture integrity across all brands.
  • Lead internal teams and coordinate any/all design detail/drawing and construction changes with internal partners.
  • Develop a process/timeline for incorporating any/all updates to typical drawings/current projects with internal and external Retail Design Architect Firm(s).
  • Research and/or develop innovative ways to help streamline processes and workflows with internal and external Retail Design Architect Firm (s), Construction Internal and External Partners.
  • Lead the internal design team on conceptual 3D models, sketchup views, graphic design.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Retail Design, Store Planning, Architecture, or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Possess direct progressive experience in retail concepts, branded architecture with a major retail company.
  • Familiarity with Autocad, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Smartsheet, SharePoint type systems.
  • Strong analytical, proofreading & editing skills.
  • Strong ability to understand & visualize architectural details.
  • Proficient knowledge of Architectural Drawing details and Means & Methods.
  • Knowledge of Millwork and Retail Fixture standards and details.
  • General understanding of building codes.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, & plumbing drawings.
  • Ability to multitask through aggressive schedules in a very fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and reporting.
  • Demonstrates collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
