Job Summary: Supports the Director of Life Insurance Premium Finance in all aspects of the growing Life Insurance Premium Finance business line. Role will be greatly involved in the management of the loan portfolio including monitoring collateral, payments and fundings. The Analyst is expected be proactive in assisting with outreach to advisors, carriers and clients on a regular basis. Additionally, this role will be vital in the initial due diligence and underwriting process for new opportunities as they arise. This position will work closely with Centier's underwriting department to keep opportunities moving through the pipeline.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist Lender in gathering nancial information and other supportive data to assess the viability of new Premium Finance loan requests and renewals. Collect and analyze this information regarding the client's income, assets, investments, or debts and the subject life insurance policy along with the gap collateral to be pledged.

  • Develop loan structure for new/renewal requests on behalf of Lenders within loan underwriting platform (Credit Quest).

  • Gather on-going required nancial information required to maintain credit quality and monitoring of the Premium Finance loan portfolio.

  • Continuously work with life insurance carriers to collect information on the pledged life insurance policies as well as other administrative duties vital to the ongoing management of the loan portfolio.

  • Review documentation preparation to ensure the Bank's collateral positions are safe prior to closing of a new loan or a renewal.

  • Monitor values of the pledged collateral and borrowing-base formulas to ensure loans remain fully secure and the clients remain in compliance with their on-going requirements of the loan.

  • Monitor loan portfolio for delinquent loans, credit deterioration and documentation deciencies, keeping les updated with appropriate memorandums.

  • Make joint sales calls with Lender, primarily with insurance advisors to discuss on going portfolio management and new opportunities that arise.

  • Participates in workshops, seminars, and training as appropriate or required.

  • Be an ambassador for Centier; representing the Bank in community activities including business, charitable, civic, and social.

  • Gain a strong understanding of Credit Quest and the proper and effective use of the software in facilitating loan approvals, modications, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Adept at time management to meet strict deadlines and respond to high urgency requests from Management and/or Lenders

  • Self-directed, high-energy collaborator.

  • Excellent organizational skills to multitask projects and initiatives.

  • Attentive to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate and work with groups as well as individuals as required.

  • Ability to understand and analyze permanent life insurance policies

  • The ability to understand a variety of nancial statements and tax returns to determine a potential or existing borrower's nancial position and cash ow.

  • Comfort with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.

Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field required.

  • 2+ years' experience in insurance, wealth management, and/or estate planning preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.

**Department hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 PM. This position is based out of the Corporate Centre in Merrillville, IN.
