Job Summary:

Payroll and Benefits Manager is a key role on the human resources team, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll, HRIS and benefits administration within the organization. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of payroll and benefits processes while contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to employee compensation and benefits. This role will be primarily US-focused, with responsibility for the governance of the HR system globally. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing via ADP WFN Managed Services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
  • Collaborate with finance team to reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Stay abreast of changes in payroll regulations and ensure the organization's payroll practices remain compliant.

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs
  • In partnership with the HR team, communicate and educate employees about benefits offerings, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of available options
  • Work with benefits providers to negotiate contracts, manage benefit funding and invoice management, and optimize program offerings
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure data accuracy between the HRIS, Payroll Deductions and Benefit vendors

HRIS Management:

  • Support and maintain the company's HR system (ADP WorkforceNow) and related applications
  • Ensure the integrity of global HRIS data between ADP WFN and ADP Celergo
  • Collaborate with HR partners, various departments and outside vendors to develop efficient and effective processes and workflows

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing payroll and benefits for US and Canada
  • Generate regular reports and analysis related to payroll and benefits data for internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct periodic global audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance

Strategic Planning:

  • Provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements to existing payroll and benefits programs
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align compensation and benefits practices with organizational goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant professional certification (i.e. CPP, CBP) is a plus
  • Proven experience of 5-10 years in payroll and benefits administration, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellence communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in payroll and HRIS software; Experience with ADP WorkforceNow
