Pet Segment is searching for a Truck Driver in our Fort Dodge, IA facility. This position requires a Class A CDL making local deliveries and pick-ups Location: 1528 Cardinal Avenue, Fort Dodge, IA 50501 Pay: $23 - $26/hour - depending on years of experience Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00am - 3:30pm KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods between two manufacturing facilities. Load and unload products using appropriate equipment as needed. Inspect vehicles daily to ensure compliance with company and DOT regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections. Communicate with management regarding any delays, issues, or concerns. Adhere to all safety and traffic laws, as well as company policies. Assist with minor maintenance or troubleshooting of the vehicle, if required. Foster positive relationships with team members and facility staff. Primarily self-driven and organized to meet the needs of all the internal customer. Keeps track of annual trailer inspections and notifies management when they are due. QUALIFICATIONS Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in operating commercial vehicles, preferably in a local route or similar setting. Knowledge of DOT regulations and local/state traffic laws. Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts). Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Excellent communication and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
