Compensation $95,000 - $100,000 Per Year Plus Competitive Benefits and Company Vehicle Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our team in the NYC region. As a Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and experience working on construction sites. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of Barrett Industries. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions Provide safety training and guidance to employees and contractors Investigate incidents and near misses, and develop recommendations for prevention Manage a team of 3 safety professionals Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety protocols are integrated into project plans Maintain accurate records and reports of safety incidents, inspections, and training Requirements Over 3 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the construction industry Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards Experience managing a team of safety professionals Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to start work quickly (ASAP) 50%-60% Travel Required Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
