Description

Position Summary:

The Long Term Foster Care Prevention of Sexual Abuse Compliance Manager will function to oversee the implementation and ongoing compliance and data sharing, with the Interim Final Rule in regards to the UC Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment standards within the Nuevas Alas/New Wings program and in cooperation with leadership from the Agency and ORR if requested. The PSA Compliance Manager will be responsible for complete knowledge of the Interim Final Rule, as well as ensure that all standards are met throughout the program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Understands the Interim Final Rule in its complete form.

2. Conducts Interim Final Rule Trainings with all new hires prior to their interactions with children in the Nuevas

Alas/New Wings Program.

3. Collaborates with Community Service Providers to provide training related to the Interim Final Rule.

4. Tracks Interim Final Rule specific training requirements to ensure compliance.

5. Ensures that Interim Final Rule Trainings are delivered to youth in a timely manner and appropriately

documented in the minor's case file.

6. Maintains communication with Community Agencies with whom the program has memorandums of

understanding established.

7. Adapts and updates Interim Final Rule posters, pamphlets, and educational material as needed.

8. Responsible for ordering additional pamphlets and other educational information.

9. Tracks data on all Sexual Abuse Significant Incident Reports (SA/SIRs) that are sent to the Office of

Refugee Resettlement (ORR).

10. Ensures that sexual incidents are responded to in accordance with Interim Final Rule and Program Policies.

When they are not, a meeting should be held by the PSA Compliance Manager to discuss issues and

concerns to improve responses to sexual incidents.

11. Serves as the point of contact for ORR's PSA Coordinator and facilitate monthly PSA Conference Calls with

ORR for the Program.

12. Serves as the point of Contact for the NYS Justice Center in investigations.

13. Closes out all NYS Justice Center critical incidents and uploads documentation to the federal database.

14. Completes trainings that will be an asset to preventing, detecting, and responding to sexual incidents and implementing best practice.

15. Actively participates in the Quality Assurance and Improvement process by reviewing weekly, monthly and

quarterly reports for all improvement opportunities.

16. Ensures that all Program Policies as they relate to the Interim Final Rule are maintained and up to date.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Qualifications

MINIMUM:




  • BA/BS degree



  • CPR and First Aid Certificates



  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer



  • At least 1 year of experience working with children and families





PREFERRED:




  • At least 1 year experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, and compliance issues.



  • Proven experience and understanding of preventing, detecting and responding to sexual incidents.
