Position Description We are looking for a hardworking, smart, high achieving MP&L Supervisor with proven experience working in a manufacturing supply chain to lead the purchasing and inventory management needs of our growing HVAC manufacturing company. The MP&L Supervisor's responsibilities include purchasing materials at the most favorable terms for the organization and coordination on time shipping of finished product. This role will qualify vendors, evaluate proposals, track purchases and negotiate prices and terms for purchased components. The MP&L Supervisor is responsible for receiving and moving materials within warehouse, issuing materials from the warehouse and verifying proper inventory levels are maintained accurately. We are an engineering driven manufacturer of commercial HVAC equipment. We offer semi-custom air-cooled and water-cooled chillers and condensing units. We design and manufacture for two national OEM brands and our own Jetson by Modine brand. We pride ourselves in offering design specials (unique features that help sales offices close orders). Our Core Values are: Trust, Teamwork, Focus, Family, Continuous Improvement and Communication Key Responsibilities Attention to detail in maintaining accurate inventory levels, locations, purchase orders and component pricing Attention to detail in assembling orders from inventory, based on demand from works order and bill of materials Enable production team to achieve on time shipping goals Inventory accuracy at 95% or better Accurate information in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for items and inventory Materials are purchased at best cost, highest quality and in time for production needs Multiple qualified vendors for purchased components Plans and monitors optimal space utilization and efficient inventory flow of warehouse Promotes high inventory turns, to reduce inventory dollars, while minimizing stock outs Creates and generates internal management reports to track performance and costs related to, inventory, transportation, cost savings, production and sales. Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems and recommends solutions. Lead any recovery actions necessary due to unplanned events in supply chain. Transportation and Warehouse management Inventory storage and handling Compliance with logistics related regulations Required Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years' experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement Proven experience working in a manufacturing supply chain to lead the purchasing and inventory management needs of our growing HVAC manufacturing company Ability to negotiate favorable contracts, pricing and payment terms while maintaining positive relationship with vendors Ability to work in both hands-on and office environments Ability to coach and develop employees Ability to deal with multiple levels of people effectively, in group and individual settings Ability to effectively deal with vendors/suppliers/customers Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies Collaborates and communicates with production, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Familiarity with ERP software Familiarity with manufacturing processes Five or more years of as buyer, purchasing agent or similar role Practiced communicator capable of communicating with multiple levels of organizations Proficient with organizing and processing large amounts of data Self-starter with strong problem solving, prioritization, and critical thinking skills Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (Word,Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Works well in team environment Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
