Hourly Rate: $17.75

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Janitor reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is an hourly, non-exempt position.
  • The Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and general upkeep of center buildings and grounds.
  • Performs general janitorial duties in an office, such as cleaning, dusting, washing windows, and moving and polishing furniture and equipment.
  • Performs minor maintenance repairs. Arranges for repair of office equipment and utilities.
  • Ensures that all tools and equipment are in good repair.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Prefer one year or more years of work-related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Additional Requirements: Knowledge of special laundry care for all types of materials. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Ability to communicate effectively and relate to the trainee population. Ability to operate power tools. Position requires an ability to operate various mechanical equipment. In addition, an individual must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments.
