Overview NRDC is a non-profit environmental advocacy organization. We use law, science, and the support of 3.1 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. NRDC was founded in 1970 and our people helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act and many of the implementing regulations. Today, our team of more than 700 lawyers, scientists, economists, policy advocates, communications experts, and others work across the United States and the globe from our offices in Beijing; Bozeman, Montana; Chicago; New Delhi; New York; San Francisco; Santa Monica; and Washington, D.C. NRDC is seeking a Foundation Relations Coordinator to support the Foundation Relations team in our New York, San Francisco, or Chicago office. Position Summary NRDC is seeking a Coordinator to work with the Foundation Relations team, which manages a portfolio of donors and prospects capable of grants of $100k+ in support of the organization's work. This position reports to the Senior Director, Foundation Operations and will provide critical administrative support to the Foundation Relations Directors including Managing Director, Senior Director of Global Foundation Strategy, Director of U.S. Foundation Strategy, Senior Director of Foundation Prospecting and Stewardship Strategy, and Director of Fundraising Equity who collectively oversee a team of 15 fundraisers, grant writers, and operations staff raising a growing goal of more than $50m annually. Job duties will be primarily administrative and will include scheduling for Foundation Leadership Team; departmental expense and invoice processing; maintaining records and database integrity in Salesforce; managing Foundation team's SharePoint site and Intranet page and working closely with the foundation fundraisers to schedule and prepare for funder meetings and other engagement strategies; supporting the team via proofreading, internal communications, and email correspondence as needed. Manage calendar and scheduling, including travel arrangements, for the Foundation Relations Directors; provide scheduling support for other members of the foundation team as needed.
Qualifications
We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. Internal equity will be reviewed and considered to determine a final offer. For this position, the salary range is $50,000 to $60,000. NRDC operates under a hybrid work model. Employees are required to come to the office 8 days per month.
