Overview

The Director, Product Strategy is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives that leverage third-party data, innovative technologies, and analytics to enhance AmTrust's Commercial Lines offerings. This role works closely with internal partners across Product, Underwriting, Automation, Data & Analytics, Actuary, Claims, and Legal to identify opportunities that drive growth, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making processes. The Director will play a key role in evaluating data partnerships, implementing solutions, and supporting the alignment of product strategies with enterprise goals.



Responsibilities

1. Identify, evaluate, and support the implementation of third-party data solutions to enhance underwriting, pricing, and claims processes.

2. Assist in negotiating contracts with third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven initiatives that improve decision-making and operational outcomes.

4. Analyze product performance, market trends, and external data sources to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

5. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for differentiation and product enhancement.

6. Provide recommendations to senior leadership based on market insights and analysis.

7. Support the development and execution of annual product innovation roadmaps and priorities in alignment with enterprise strategies.

8. Partner with Product and Underwriting teams to identify new features, workflows, and enhancements that leverage third-party data.

9. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Underwriting, Data Science, Claims, and Technology teams, to align strategies and execute on key projects.

10. Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance.

11. Manage and lead cross-functional projects that support product innovation and operational efficiency.

12. Develop key performance metrics to monitor project outcomes and report progress to senior leadership.

13. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and analysis to communicate findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

14. Translate complex data-driven solutions into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

15. Support the development of workflows and processes that improve data utilization, reduce redundancy, and create consistency across Product Management and Underwriting.



Qualifications

Required:

* 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lines or Personal Lines Product (Management or Development), Underwriting, Pricing, Data Analytics, or Project Management.

* Experience working with third-party data providers, emerging technologies, or data-driven strategies.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends to support decision-making.

* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools; experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, SQL) is a plus.

* Demonstrated ability to implement strategic initiatives and manage projects from inception to completion.

* Solution-oriented thinker with the ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term business needs.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.

* Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering across departments and influencing stakeholders.

* Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, economics, or a related field.
