Job Description

Position Summary
Executes the processes and controls required to produce materials in support of the Company's revenue requirement and cost of service before regulatory commissions and provides accounting guidance on the effect of Commission orders and rules.

Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of regulatory accounting and utility ratemaking principles, as well as staying informed of regulatory developments for each of the jurisdictions the Company provides service and other jurisdictions.
* Supports the Company's interests before external audiences, including the preparation of expert witness testimony on a wide range of issues and negotiations with external parties.
* Develops pro forma ratemaking adjustments and prepares reports and schedules for regulatory filings as well as internal reporting.
* Maintains an understanding of jurisdictional and class allocation methodology and prepares jurisdictional and class cost of service studies for regulatory filings.
* Researches and analyzes information and advises management on issues related to regulatory accounting and the Company's cost of service.
* Prepares responses to discovery in cases before regulatory commissions as well as reports as directed by the commissions.
* Develops revenue requirement forecasts for input into the Company's corporate planning process.
* Analyzes financial results and their impact on a regulatory and jurisdictional basis.
* Maintains written policies and procedures, improves workflow, systems and processes, and adapts processes to changing regulatory requirements.
* Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics or related field required
* Master's Degree preferred
* 5+ Years of experience in accounting required
* CPA preferred
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, and to identify relevant issues in solving business problems, including evaluating multiple scenarios
* Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors and peers
* Demonstrated ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse audiences at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing
* Demonstrated ability to proficiently access and manipulate data for creating financial analyses and other formal presentations
* Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects and to remain flexible and focused on the objective while handling multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities
* Flexibility to work extended workdays and/or weekends as often required to meet deadlines established by regulatory agencies and senior management
* Proven ability to use Microsoft Office suite applications including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
* Experience using TM1 preferred

We offer a competitive salary range of $94,000 to $136,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
