Requisition Summary

The purpose of this Resident Engineer Internship is to provide meaningful professional process improvement, End of Line Testing experience, and Engine software experience to a collegiate student with proven academic performance and a strong desire to learn and contribute.

This position will work with closely with Resident Engineering, Hot Test, and Manufacturing Engineering. The intern will also assist in Engine defect reduction in Hot Test, ECU defect reduction in Hot Test, and Software process improvements.

Areas of focus:

  • ECU defect reduction in Hot Test
  • Optimization of Software Meetings
  • ISO 14229-1
  • Software Verification Tool
  • Software Update Template
  • Engage in Goals, Continuous Improvements & Projects.
  • Identify Hot Test Process Improvement Opportunities & Document

Qualifications & Skills

  • Pursuing B.S. Degree in Technology or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer).
  • MS Office proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint).
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment required.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to study Engineering Drawings and Design Specifications.
  • Knowledge of SAP & TeamCenter a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
  • A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of BOM's & Component Structure preferred.
  • Leadership/Participation in extracurricular engineering related projects or teams.
  • AutoCAD Experience and Pro-E experience at a basic level.
