ReNuke Services is seeking a Principal Project Controls for our client"s site in Charlotte, NC

DESCRIPTION:

*P6 is a requirement*

Main focus will be on a single, major project, but will likely evolve to include support for the entire portfolio.

The candidate will be responsible for:
1) Review and analysis of cost and schedule estimates, including estimate basis and qualifications.
2) Review of existing project status as provided by utility company and its vendors.
3) Monitoring compliance with department requirements and Enterprise Policy and Standards.
4) Providing analysis and forecasting of project cost and schedule performance.
5) Assisting with forecasting project cost and schedule impacts.
6) Project risk quantification, analysis, and management
7) Mentoring less experienced project controls staff
8) Updating project cost, schedule and risk information in systems and tools

The applicant should have a detailed knowledge and experience with:
A) Various estimating techniques, for both cost and schedule
B) Multiple cost management and control practices
C) Various schedule review and analysis methods
D) Project Risk Management best practices
E) Scheduling and time management software (i.e. Primavera, MS Project, and Deltek Acumen)
F) Review and analysis of contractor and vendor performance
G) Financial and cost management systems

This is the expert level of the Project Controls classification hierarchy. Workers at this level lead the development and application of the reporting systems for project controls assignments. They perform complex aspects of individual project estimating, scheduling, change documentation and cost control while reporting up to program or portfolio level as well as train and teach other members of the Project Controls organization with minimal oversight and wide latitude for unreviewed work. They are also expected to have advanced skills and have the ability to work independently. This position typically is assigned to projects classified as 'Brown' or "Black" per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix which typically range from $100M to greater than $500M with a high level of complexity.

Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Masters - business, finance, project management, or equivalent. PMI or AACE certification (the following or equivalent are acceptable - PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP). Software such as MS Project/MS Office Suite, Primavera, Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Powerplant, Emax, PeopleSoft. Risk management tools / Monte Carlo analysis
