The Job

Serve as the Foundation's principal federal and multi-state focused program manager who supports and promotes its vision, mission, and strategic priorities by evaluating, reporting on, and engaging with communications, policy, and programmatic issues related to aging, health and well-being, family caregiving, and long-term care efforts and associated stakeholders.

Essential Functions

Supports the Foundation's Policy and Program staff by identifying, reviewing, tracking, researching, analyzing, and reporting on trends in federal and state health and aging policies, as well as programmatic efforts that may potentially impact the continuum of care for older adults (with a particular emphasis on communities of color, low- and middle-income populations, and those in rural geographies) and their family caregivers across the country.

Developing and facilitating relationships with advocacy and trade organizations, Foundation grantees, and other stakeholders associated with (but not limited to) to aging, disability, health, family caregiving, and long-term care efforts.

Work collaboratively with the Foundation Policy, Communications, and Program staff to develop a wide range of Foundation-generated products including: full-length research reports, comment letters, white papers, issue briefs, press releases, web content, and other communications products, and other special-purpose documents such as background memos and briefing reports.

Support in the planning, development, and implementation of communications, policy, and programmatic strategies in accordance with Foundation's strategic priorities.

Actively participate in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting open communication, celebrating diverse perspectives, and actively engaging with colleagues to build strong team dynamics, while aligning with company values and initiatives to strengthen our overall culture.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Five years of experience with analyzing legislation and regulations at the state and/or federal level and familiarity with state and federal data and policy resources.

Solid understanding of the federal and U.S. policy environment, with experience in aging, Medicare, Medicaid, disability, family caregiving, and/or long-term care policy.

Ability to understand how health and aging policies and programs intersect with other core aspects of wellbeing, including social drivers of health.

Exceptional research, analytic, writing, and editing skills.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with policy makers, stakeholders, and staff at all levels of the organization.

Ability to communicate research findings, evaluation results, and programmatic activities commissioned by the Foundation to both professional and lay audiences.

Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage time, and deliver quality work on time and within budgetary guidelines.

Technology proficient, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applications.
