Under the direction of the Information Security Officer, the IT Cyber Security Analyst performs two core functions for the enterprise. The first function is the responsibility for the day-to-day operations of security solutions, while the second function is the identification, investigation, and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems. Additional responsibilities of the position include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures, as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.

The IT Cyber Security Analyst is expected to be fully aware of GHC-SCW's security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals. The IT Cyber Security Analyst will oversee the development and deployment of change management methodologies and procedures within the IT department. Primary focus in this area is the management of Epic System application & development life cycle and software/hardware changes made to critical systems.

JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS



  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and business experience required.
  2. Two (2) years of security experience with network, clinical, or business systems is required.
  3. Two (2) years of experience in systems analysis or project management is preferred.
  4. One or more of the following certifications is preferred: Comp TIA Security +; GIAC Information Security Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Security; or Associate of (ISC) 2.
  5. Strong understanding of security administration is required.
  6. Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems is required.
  7. Working technical knowledge of intrusion protection, security monitoring and security logging systems is required.
  8. Experience working with security auditors such as Financial, OCI, and HIPAA is preferred.
  9. Internal or external consulting skills in assessing, analyzing, and synthesizing change controls across a broad range of departmental environments are preferred.
  10. Familiarity with the ITIL Change Management standard and SDLC methodology implementation best practices.
  11. Demonstrated ability to evaluate projects, interact with users, and work independently towards successful completion of projects is required.
  12. Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and related data privacy practices and laws is preferred.
  13. Knowledge of health care operations as it relates to IT security risks and patient information handling is preferred.
  14. Excellent organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail. Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities required.
  15. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is required.
  16. Ability to work in a consultative role with users in assessing needs and requirements.
  17. Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products.
  18. Good written and oral communication skills required. Ability to clearly communicate to persons with a broad range of technical understanding.
  19. Ability to be a team player in a team-oriented environment required.
  20. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization while providing excellent customer service.
  21. Ability to be culturally sensitive and work with a diverse population.
  22. Ability to work extra and/or flexible hours including occasional weekends required.
  23. Ability to provide on-call technical support.
  24. Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver license and/or ability to travel to various work sites, as needed.
  25. Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach on a regular basis required.
  26. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis required.
  27. Ability to work with fingers for various manipulation activities (including keyboard) on a regular basis required.
  28. Visual acuity for inspection and close assembly activities required.
