The Principal Security Engineer operates as the team's operational lead, a liaison between other technical teams within the company, and a mentor for less-senior members of the team. This role directs the work of more junior team members to ensure the stability and compatibility of security technologies with the company's compute environment and enforce adherence to SLAs and regulatory requirements. The Principal Security Operations Engineer will regularly interact with technical build and architecture teams to provide design input, implementation support, and information sharing. A person in this role understands the work of all members of the team, has expertise across all technologies that the team operates, possesses a broad understanding of the of the company's compute infrastructure, and understands how the team's processes and technologies support the Security organization's mission. This position operates with high levels of autonomy to drive the operational delivery of the team, own coordination and collaboration with stakeholders internal and external to the company, and lead the operational response to critical issues and priority events.
