Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Data Science, the Senior Data Scientist is a mid-level experienced scientist with a problem-solving mindset, responsible for analyzing data, uncovering the underlying data patterns and logic, and developing data-driven applications using innovative methods in data science such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and large language models. These techniques will be used to build cutting-edge solutions to support healthcare operations and to help us with our vision of "A Healthier World". The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for developing solutions for the entire problem-solving cycle: finding/prioritizing the problems, researching the best algorithms to solve them, designing robust, practical solvers, and implementing them in the health care environment. The ultimate purpose of the Senior Data Scientist work is developing solutions making hospital operations more efficient, reliable, and integrated, improving staff productivity and patient satisfaction. Principal Role and Responsibilities: *Develops and/or uses advanced AI/ Machine Learning (ML) and predictive modeling techniques to solve business problems. *Consults with clinical leaders to understand problems and goals and translate these needs into advanced analytics solutions. *Wrangles structured and unstructured data to identify patterns and provide meaningful insights to the stakeholders which would aid in decision making. *Leads medium to large-sized projects with minimal assistance. *Collaborates with multiple teams to deploy the models into production. *Communicate predictive model results to clinical leaders and stakeholders through presentations prepared for audiences at various levels of leadership and technical expertise. *Provide on-going tracking and monitoring of performance of models and recommend ongoing improvements to methods and algorithms that lead to findings, including new information. *Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Education
