Your Role As a Gensler Project Manager, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time and within budget. Grow your project management expertise while working on trendsetting projects in multiple practice areas. A focus for the role will be leading Hospitality, Multifamily Residential, and Mixed Use projects, building client relationships, and driving business opportunities. What You Will Do
- Lead project teams and architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director, Technical Director, and project team for all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
- Manage the project in collaboration with the design team, client, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
- Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
- Manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
- Manage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultants
- Coordinate bidding process
- Ensure projects conform to contract
- Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements
- As needed, support the team by producing graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
- Takes an active role in project QA/QC working closely with the Technical Director
- Work closely with Interior Design team to create holistic design solutions for our clients
- Mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering and leading by example; you will be responsible for advancing an integrated design culture on your projects within the studio, including mentoring, resources, discourse, initiatives and recruiting of team members
- Actively support firmwide sustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and project teams toward multi-benefit sustainable and resilient design solutions

Your Qualifications
- Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited program
- Approximately 8-12 years of experience in the architecture & design industry
- Experience as a Project Manager, or Project Architect with project management responsibilities, within a commercial architecture and design firm managing large, complex projects in the fee range of $3-5M+ minimum
- Experience with commercial projects such as base building and interior architecture for Hospitality, Multifamily Residential, and Mixed Use projects
- Experience leading projects of a variety of scales, and mentoring and collaborating with Interior Designers and Architects
- Strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal management skills
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents
- Commitment to a collaborative design process
- Experience negotiating project scope and fees
- Knowledge of local building codes and standards; strong technical skills to support our architectural team, and jump into project work as needed
- Licensed / Registered Architect + LEED accreditation are preferred
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members
- Adept at building trust with clients and developing client relationships
