Job Description

Job Purpose

The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that composite and aircraft parts meet all safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. This position is responsible for performing detailed inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. The role requires a focus on precision, compliance, and continuous improvement to support manufacturing excellence and aircraft safety.

  • Put Safety first at all times, never compromise on safety for the obtainment of other objectives. Responsible for health and safety of themselves and coworkers.
  • Visual inspection of composite parts
  • Dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.
  • Comparison and evaluation of certifications and supporting data to specifications
  • Inspection of Aircraft parts to ensure compliance to important regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Observe Safety policies and programs including work place organization.
  • Document inspection results by written reports & electronic data entry.
  • Maintain documents to ensure traceability of all materials and processes.
  • Input data into database or SAP
  • Proper use and documentation of measurement equipment.
  • Continuously improve job knowledge through training and individual work
  • Accomplish Quality and Organization mission by completing work in a cooperative & helpful manner with open communication.
  • Support and engage in our AEC Quality System.

Experience/Education/Skills

Position Competencies:



  • Good mechanical aptitude and use of basic hand and power tools
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and follow training materials, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Proper use of safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, SAP)
  • Ability to communicate in English via written and spoken words
  • Positive outlook and commitment to the Quality function as a service to all customers and an absolute commitment to Aircraft Safety
  • Relevant Work Experience: Worked in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of QS 9000 & Aerospace AS9100 Quality Systems. Lean Manufacturing /Six Sigma methodology a plus.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Physical demands of the job include: stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing.
  • All candidates for roles that directly manufacture or disposition product shall receive eye exams (for color-blindness) and a rudimentary English reading examination prior to receiving a job offer, and annually while employed.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions.



Position Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Physical)



  • High School or GED Equivalent Required
  • 3 years equivalent experience in regulated field
  • Experience with MS-Word, Excel, Access and Power Point for word processing and documentation support
  • Must be able to complete multiple prioritized tasks with minimal direct supervision while maintaining focus on preventative activities.
  • SAP/MRP system experience considered a plus.
  • Minimum 6 months in current role.
