Student Lab Tech

The Clinical and Translational Science Center is looking for student lab assistant who can work Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am-5pm, 15-20 hours per week with flexibility in scheduling.

Under immediate supervision, the student will:

* Prepare and process research samples for research testing (blood, urine, hair, tissue, etc.) and shipping to outside labs as per study protocol

* Prepare solutions, media and materials for research testing

* Set-up, operate and maintain a variety of standard laboratory, clinical and field research or test instrumentation

* Perform routine quality assurance techniques for research equipment

* Collect, log and compile research data

* Perform routine and standardized data verification

* Distribute research reports to investigators

* Populate sample inventory, equipment inventory and inventory control database

* Miscellaneous duties as assigned
