Description
POSITION: Resource Family Advocate

DEPARTMENT: "Family and Youth Support" (Gillis)

Starting Salary: $41,000 - $45,000 (Annually)

(Starting salary depends on education and experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for conducting pre-service and in-service training for prospective and/or licensed resource parents; assessing and recommending families for further training needs to help build skillsets. Attends train the trainer for existing/new curriculum and complete yearly trainings as required. Complete timely and accurate licensure assessments, adoptive updates, addendums, and licensure renewals for resource families. Provides ongoing support and ensures licensing policies/regulations are followed through a variety of contacts (monthly, quarterly, as needed and required) and home visits to assigned caseload of families. Assist assigned families with problem-solving, obtaining resources and addressing identified needs. Maintain timely and professional communication with case management staff and supervisors regarding assigned families ensuring documentation is entered into assigned platform (IE: Avatar, FACES, CSWIS, etc). Works collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure successful outcomes and adherence to contractual requirements. Attends all internal and external meetings unless approved by your supervisor. Work throughout the entire contract service area in the State of Missouri, as needed, based on referral location. Ensure electronic records in Avatar, FACES and CSWIS are accurate and current. Provide home finding support and assistance to case management and partners based upon current and accurate knowledge of assigned families. Other duties as needed to support the department's evolving needs and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Master's Degree in social work and at least 3 years of experience int eh field of child welfare. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
