SUMMARY:

Responsible for the leadership of Mutual Bancorp's overall technology and information systems strategy and operations, including bank subsidiaries Cape Cod 5 and Fidelity Bank. Provides vision and leadership for the organization's systems and infrastructure, developing and implementing information technology initiatives to support innovation and growth in conjunction with the overall strategy of the organization. The CIO leads all areas of technology including Infrastructure/Operations, Information and Cybersecurity, Enterprise Applications/Integration, Testing, Software Engineering, Automation/Workflows and Strategic Delivery. Direct reports include Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Digital Officer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  1. Defines and implements the organization's information and technology strategy. Ensures alignment with strategic goals.
  2. Assesses, recommends and implements new technology solution to support the core strategies and improve efficiency and competitiveness.
  3. Guides the organization through technological transitions, building buy-in and working collaboratively across all levels and departments.
  4. Responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
  5. Incorporates new technologies and analytics into organizational processes to drive better client experiences.
  6. As a member of executive management, proactively engages with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to understand requirements and issues across business lines, identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies, consistency, innovation, and revenue.
  7. Demonstrates business-minded problem-solving and continually assesses technology and talent changes within the marketplace.
  8. Develops and leads implementation of innovative technological advancements in products and services across a variety of Enterprise-wide technology functions.
  9. Clearly communicates the vision and roadmap to key stakeholders, partners, the executive leadership team and the Boards of Trustees and Directors.
  10. Stays abreast of evolving technologies, emerging approaches, industry best practices, relevant architectural principles, and patterns. Synthesizes and applies these in a manner that adds business value and sets the company apart.
  11. Ensures the security, scalability, and performance of the technical infrastructure through consistent maintenance.
  12. Develops and implements cybersecurity policies and protocols to protect the organization's data and systems. Manages risks related to IT operations, including data privacy and compliance.
  13. Offers strategic advisory services to operations and business partners by recommending tailored technical solutions that align with their needs and leverage technology as a competitive advantage.
  14. Supports organizational growth by establishing and leading IT strategies that take advantage of established and emerging technologies, collaborating with leadership throughout the organization.
  15. Identifies and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to support long-term organization goals and helps evaluate and prioritize IT investments and strategic initiatives. Builds and maintains a reliable, resilient, redundant, compliant, and secure enterprise architecture that supports an agile business strategy.
  16. Advances the organization's data and information management capabilities through a robust, secure and scalable data infrastructure.
  17. Ensures high quality and customer focused day-to-day operations of technology and associated business applications.
  18. Oversees IT change management processes to mitigate downstream risks and issues from technology upgrades and enhancements.
  19. Ensures compliance with all IT regulations and best practices.
  20. Creates state of the industry dynamic security practices and continues to upgrade cyber security across the organization, leveraging advanced cyber security tools and solutions.
  21. Develops and maintains an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the organization's needs, including information and cybersecurity.
  22. Lead and develop the IT team in preparation for future changes and opportunities.
  23. Works cross-functionally to ensure an effective organization-wide IT disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  24. Maintain security standards and IT policies appropriate for the organization's size and complexity.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • 10-15 years of experience in IT leadership, preferably in financial services industry or related area. Experience with banking technologies and banking architecture, practices, and procedures preferred.
  • Successful experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated record of successfully leading complex digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience recommending new technologies or technology enhancements to improve customer delivery, reduce costs, and/or to provide a strategic advantage.
  • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
  • Experience in creation and execution of business aligned technology strategy
