Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled signals software engineer with expertise in signal processing and software design. You will analyze user requirements, design and code new software, and modify existing systems to add features or improve performance. You will develop and implement advanced algorithms, including those for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and RF systems, while ensuring adherence to system performance standards. Additionally, you will integrate software into diverse environments, debug and optimize existing applications, and provide recommendations for improving development processes and documentation. Proficiency in languages such as C++ and Java, along with a deep understanding of signal processing techniques and digital modulation, is essential.

The Level 1 Signals Software Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

The Signals Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances signal processing software (e.g., detectors, demodulators, protocol processors). Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware and software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

Qualifications:



  • Four (4) years of experience as a Signals Software Engineer on a project with a focus on Radio Frequency (RF)
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Familiarity with DSP and SDR
  • Experience with Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with related discipline in DSP from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of experience as a SSWE on a project with a focus on Radio Frequency (RF) to include experience with Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding, signals analysis tools (e.g., WVT, DVT), and digital signal processing (e.g., adaptive beamforming/filtering, demodulation).
  • A Master's degree in a related technical field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
  • Four (4) years of additional SSWE or equivalent experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.


Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: 115,000-170,000
