We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to be part of our corporate team in Ann Arbor, MI.

What you will do:

This role is responsible to support full cycle recruitment for corporate functions and manage early career programs at Wacker. As a Specialist for the Early Career Programs, you will work in the competitive world of University Recruiting by identifying, engaging, interviewing, and hiring intern and rotational development program talent for Wacker. In addition, you will maintain the overall integrity of the program through engagement initiatives that include onboarding, orientation, mentor support, internal surveys, networking events, and converting successful interns to fulltime colleagues in our Rotational Program.



  • Full cycle recruitment for corporate divisions positions across the region:

    • Executes recruiting processes and strategies to source talent utilizing multiple channels
    • Researches and applies current industry trends, recruitment best practices, and recruitment marketing & branding strategies to fill Corporate Division positions




  • Early career program:


Recruitment



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract and hire top talent from universities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with career services offices, faculty, student organizations, and alumni networks at targeted institutions.
  • Manage the coordination and participation in job fairs, info sessions, and other campus events year-round.
  • Source intern and rotational program candidates through all campus recruitment activities, campus platforms, social media, and job boards.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers, Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, TA & TD team to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Plan and execute campus recruitment events, including career fairs, information sessions, and networking events, to engage and attract diverse candidates.
  • Conduct presentations and workshops on campus to promote our employer brand, internship programs, and career opportunities.
  • Lead the selection and evaluation process for candidates, ensuring a fair and inclusive selection process.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of campus recruitment strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize reporting and analytics from digital platforms to measure the ROI of the university recruitment strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the university recruitment space, including trends affecting university recruitment and local and economic conditions.
  • Ensure best in class candidate brand experience through aligned processes across all levels of the candidate experience.


Program Management, Planning & Execution:



  • Lead the execution of Wacker USA regionwide early career programs, ensuring consistency and integration across all sites and departments.
  • Lead the project management for onboarding, orientation, performance management, and conversion process primarily for interns and enhance processes for full-time rotational program and early career hires.


Training & Support Managers:



  • Partner with Talent Development to design manager training programs that focus on performance management, goal setting, and coaching for intern and rotational program hires.
  • Provide support to managers, offering resources like user guides, training materials etc.


Career Development & Professional Engagement:



  • Develop opportunities for professional development, including workshops, speaker series, networking, and volunteer events for early career program participants.
  • Implement feedback loops to improve intern and early-career employee experiences, including engagement surveys, and performance review data.


Engagement:



  • Support new hires through the offer and onboarding process.
  • Implement orientation to provide education on internal procedures and resources for both the Intern and Rotational Programs (onsite and virtual).
  • Support all program participants with resources and guidance when needed to enhance colleague experience and ensure a successful program outcome.
  • Maintain the quality of the Intern and Rotational Program through engagement surveys, feedback sessions, mentor support and accurate data collection for reporting.
  • Coordinate intern performance evaluations to determine return offer status, execute the return offer transition to full-time when appropriate, conduct exit interviews and gather program feedback.
  • Maintaining the relationship with key stakeholders of the program: Executives, hiring managers, HR Business Partners, mentors, program participants and others through periodic touchpoints.


Conversion & Talent Retention:



  • Manage the intern conversion process in partnership with HRBP's and Managers, ensuring timely offer extensions and clear communication with program participants.


Data Tracking & Reporting:



  • Track key metrics such as program participation, conversion rates, performance management completion rates, and overall engagement.
  • Regularly report on program outcomes, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and refining processes based on data-driven decisions.
  • Collecting data to model program statistics that showcase the areas of improvement and success.



What we need from you:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Career Coaching) preferred.
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program management, talent acquisition, talent development, or related fields. Prior experience in early career programs and leadership development is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with career coaching or mobility programs in a corporate or higher education environment preferred
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to execute complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with career development tools and software platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of campus recruitment strategies, tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to travel to college campuses frequently, including overnight stays as necessary.
  • Visionary and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Adaptable with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, measurable outcomes.
