Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra is looking for a Provider Education & Relations Coordinator to join our growing team.

The Provider Education & Relations Coordinator oversees provider contractual requirements to enhance positive relations and manages the customer service experience for the Oregon FFS Provider Network. This work will entail some onsite provider education and community settings. Additionally, the role involves serving as the provider educational coordinator, focusing on quality improvement initiatives, and staying informed about updates to automated review systems.

Job Summary

  • Deliver courteous and prompt service to providers and external customers, ensuring the swift and appropriate resolution of provider issues through comprehensive education and utilization of relevant resources.
  • Engage in direct communication with providers, including onsite at practices or community, identifying and addressing significant concerns by collaborating with provider liaisons and proposing tailored educational resources or training to meet specific needs.
  • Recommend and develop training modules, provider manuals, assessments, and pre- and post-evaluations to enhance educational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address provider questions/concerns and uphold the quality and integrity of services in alignment with contract requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, quality assurance programs, and information systems.
  • Provide helpline support, requiring extensive research and resolution skills; including anticipating future needs of our client and provider network
  • Supervise the Helpline Coordinator, offering ongoing training and evaluations for performance and skill enhancement.
  • Update web content regularly to ensure the provision of current and relevant information.
  • Design and implement ongoing training programs for staff to ensure they are well-versed in the latest policies, procedures, and industry best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in healthcare technology.
  • Provide regular updates to the team on relevant changes, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of industry standards and practices.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, education, or related business degree with a background in healthcare, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in provider relations/education within a healthcare setting
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% within the State of Oregon
  • Proficient in creating and delivering educational training courses using web-based or other interactive technology.
  • Proven ability to teach/train others in person, telephonically, or through web-based/interactive technology.
  • Customer service expertise with knowledge of helpline service programs, including supervision of staff and serving as a subject matter expert (SME).
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions, coupled with excellent public speaking skills and experience in delivering webinars and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Proficient in writing policy and procedure manuals, job aids, newsletters, and website content.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills for complex issues and application of knowledge to process improvement and provider issue resolution initiatives.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master's degree in these fields, preferred (communication, education, or related business degree with a background in healthcare)
  • Knowledge and experience working with Medicaid providers.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Field base provider recruitment/relations experience
  • Video, onsite or community provider education experience
  • Equity and Diversity Training or Experience
  • Network adequacy standards
  • CMS standards
  • Knowledge of CLAS/CLSS standards for providers
  • Experience working with OHA provider network
